Pope!

During my lunch break, I saw the Pope!  He's in D.C for a couple days, as you may have seen in the news.  I saw him drive by in the popemobile on his way from the White House to the Vatican Embassy.  It was pretty cool, although I wasn't very close.  Just thought I'd let you know!

The mouse is gone.  The maintenance man came and took it away.  I do feel kinda bad for the mouse, I didn't ask what he planned to do with it.....

Mouse!!!!

There is a mouse in the apartment!     Steve caught it under a bowl while I stood on a chair shrieking.  I'm such a girl.   Now Steve's trying to get the maintenance people to come and take care of it.  Our apartment building has had issues with vermin lately.  Luckily, they're planning to fumigate the entire building soon.  But, this is just yet another issue with this apartment.  We may end up moving when our lease expires in August.  Sigh.  I'll keep you updated with what happens.  This is very distracting while I'm trying to write a paper...

Wow, it's been so long since I've updated!   I won't be able to write much this time, since I fractured my left arm!  Yes, I was walking down the street on Thursday night, slipped, and fell.   I landed on my left arm that I had outstretched to break my fall.  Anyway, the doctor says its a minor fracture and I don't need a cast.  I just will have my arm in a sling for a couple weeks.  It's very inconvenient, but Steve has been a great help.  I'm trying to teach him how to put my hair in a ponytail, but that hasn't worked out very well yet.

Other than that, things are going well.  We're staying in D.C. for Thanksgiving.   A friend of mine invitied us to celebrate with her family, so that should be fun.  I can't believe it's already Thanksgiving!  This semester is flying by.

Anyway, I better stop typing since my arm is getting tired.  I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!!!
